Movie – “Undocumented”--Margaret O’Donnell, immigration attorney and talented playwright, invites you to view the production of UNDOCUMENTED:
The new drama UNDOCUMENTED opens at Burien Actors Theatre on August 19 and 21. In the hush-hush world of the undocumented, a brush with police spins out of control…
UNDOCUMENTED looks at the realities faced by one undocumented immigrant family in Seattle, brought into the glare of public attention after an arrest by police thrusts husband and father Fredy into immigration detention, facing deportation. He attempts to navigate not only the criminal justice system, but the torturously difficult immigration court system – with the life he has built for his family in this country at stake.

Transportation
ORCA Card – This is a card which acts like a debit card for the bus. Students load money onto a card, and scan the card as they board. The benefit of this over cash, is that they may be charged less for transfers, and it is more convenient, and can be used on light rail, bus, and ferry.
ORCA LIFT –Low-income bus program. Students will get an ORCA Card (which looks identical to a regular ORCA card), load money on it, and scan the card as they board. The difference is, that they will be charged less for each trip—it’s about half the price off regular fares. The program started in King County, and now Pierce County (Tacoma) is accepting it. The main drawback is that it’s not a good option for students with no income. To apply, students can see Safia from REWA Monday 2:00-6:00, Yvette Angel in King County Public Health on the RTC Campus, or at another site—see the Multiservice Center calendarStudents will need to bring proof of income –see List of enrollment documents More info on ORCA LIFT
